8. Right of withdrawal for paid subscriptions
If you are a consumer and mandatory consumer law applies, you may withdraw from a paid subscription concluded online within the statutory period.
When the service starts: After successful payment, your subscription is activated and you can use Streamovo. Without payment, you do not receive access. This is our normal process.
Important: The fact that the service starts immediately after payment does not automatically mean that your right of withdrawal ends immediately.
Withdrawal period: You generally have 14 days from the conclusion of the contract. The period begins once we have properly informed you of your right of withdrawal. If the period ends on a Saturday, Sunday, or public holiday, the next working day applies.
How to withdraw: You may withdraw without using a specific form (e.g., by email). During the period, you will also find a “Withdraw” button under Subscriptions. You are not required to use our form.
What happens if you withdraw: If a withdrawal is effective, payments and services received are reversed. If you already used the service during the withdrawal period, we may charge reasonable compensation for the value of use already provided.
When the right of withdrawal may end early: It may end before the 14 days only if all of the following apply:
(a) you expressly agreed at purchase that we may begin immediately,
(b) you were informed that you lose your right of withdrawal upon complete performance, and
(c) the agreed service has been fully performed.
For an ongoing monthly or yearly subscription, the service is usually fully performed only after the booked period ends—not after first use.
Difference: withdrawal vs. cancellation
• Withdrawal = reversal within the withdrawal period (statutory right).
• Cancellation = stops renewal; the subscription usually remains active until the end of the current period without a refund for the remaining term.
Renewal: Automatic renewal of the same subscription does not create a new right of withdrawal.
Legal note: Swiss law applies contractually (Section 11). Mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence, especially in the EU, remain unaffected.
